reyfan4life asked:
does anyone know any good magic tricks not like simple card tricks. Like the floating match stick or the 1 into 4 sponge ball trick.
I have all ready got the dynamic coin trick. I want tricks like that to buy (cheap).
New promotion on magic tricks DVD!

I’ll provide a list of sites that sell tricks below, but I’d like to point out that just buying these individual effects is going to cost you a fortune compared to books or videos. Hear me out.
If you’d like to learn GOOD commercial card handling techniques and effects, theres tons of books that you can buy for under $15 that have anywhere from 10 to 30 effects in them. Thats $0.50 per effect. Check your local BORDERS or Barnes & Noble (or other book store). They always have Magic books on sale for under $10 that will teach you tricks with household items like coins, ropes, balls, etc… I paid $30 for an inexpensive set of Cups & Balls, but knowing the routine from a $10 book I read (or borrowed from a library for free) I was able to perform this effect for my goddaughter using Solo Party cups and crumpled up napkins.
So, consider that before you spend $50 on the hot new effect the guy at the shop showed you. For that same money, you can buy a book or video that will teach you tons of effects.
There’s also some “utility” devices that magicians use. They allow various effects and are often inexpensive. You may want to ask a magic dealer about that. Don’t be hesitant to email or call an online magic dealer with questions about an effect before you buy it. If they give you an attitude, or don’t help, order somewhere else. (but don’t expect them to explain how the trick works. They won’t until you bought the item!)
Here’s some recommendations of books (before I give you shops):
* The Royal Road to Card Magic - by Jean Hugard, Frederick Braue - Everything you need to know to get into real card magic!
* Modern Coin Magic - by J.B. Bobo - Great resource on Coin Magic. everything from sleights to gimmicks to effects!
* Thirteen Steps to Mentalism - by Corinda - Awesome introduction to mentalism or Mind Magic/Reading Minds/Psychic Phenomena, etc..
Now if you insist on purchasing “tricks” (or maybe need them for some specific venue) here’s my preferred list of vendors:
Aaron Smith’s Magic Depot -
Magic Pro Shop -
Diamond’s Magic -
The Trickery -
Magic Warehouse -
Daryl Online Store -
